With the coming and going of the Oscars, so marks the unofficial end of another whirlwind awards season. While celebrating the very best of film and TV remains the biggest draw of these events, a close second is the opportunity to marvel (and sometimes cringe) at all the incredible fashion choices. Although in past decades it was common to see most male stars suited and booted in a classic black tux, more consistently creative menswear looks have been hitting red carpets over the past few years. Indeed, if the 2025 awards season has proven anything – besides the huge industry love for ‘Anora’ – it’s that menswear is having a serious moment!

Colman Domingo In Valentino (Oscars)
If there’s anyone who makes more of a stylish splash on every red carpet he graces, it’s Colman Domingo. During the 2025 awards season, his most eye-catching look was saved for the Oscars – where he was nominated for his role in ‘Sing Sing.’ Dressed in custom Valentino by creative director Alessandro Michele, Domingo packed serious heat in an exquisitely tailored rose-red, double-breasted tuxedo jacket complete with a tied sash. For the perfect finishing touches, he opted for a classic Omega Moonwatch and jewellery picks from Boucheron, like the 1956 ribbon clip adorning his lapel.

Timothée Chalamet In Chrome Hearts (SAG Awards)
While spending months making his way around various awards shows, nominated for his role as Bob Dylan in ‘A Complete Unknown,’ Timothée Chalamet continued to prove why he’s considered one of the best-dressed stars of his generation. Clad in a cowboy-esque leather getup at the 2025 Screen Actors Guild Awards, Chalamet was channeling equal parts ‘Brat’ and Bob. In custom Chrome Hearts, Bratty Bob wore a glowstick-green, hand-dyed shirt underneath a single-breasted leather blazer and matching leather trousers. Keeping his accessories in line with the Western theme, Chalamet wore a stunning Cartier Libre Féline de Cartier pendant watch as a bolo tie.

Andrew Scott In Vivienne Westwood (Golden Globes)
After his captivating turn as conman Tom Ripley in the Netflix series ‘Ripley,’ Andrew Scott chose to go with a less inconspicuous look at the Golden Globes, stepping out in head-to-toe Tiffany blue. Compared to the more unconventional pieces he spent the rest of his 2025 awards season in, this custom Vivienne Westwood look leaned more traditional – a single-breasted suit and tie paired with classic black dress shoes. However, the vibrantly monochrome ensemble still had him popping on that red carpet. Keeping the minimalist theme with his accessories as well, Scott went with a two-strand pearl bracelet by Lagos.

Omar Apollo In Valentino (Oscars)
Although Luca Guadagnino’s film ‘Queer’ was snubbed by the Oscars this year, singer and first-time actor Omar Apollo still showed up and showed out in an incredible Valentino look – engineered by stylist/fashion director Brandon Tan. The Alessandro Michele outfit – consisting of a black suit, polka-dot shirt, and silk bandeau in lieu of a tie – was brought to full glam with a striking birdcage veil. Additionally, Apollo also donned a bejewelled Chopard lizard brooch (the undisputed male accessory of choice for Oscars night) that seamlessly complemented his colour palette for the evening.

Drew Starkey In Valentino (SAG Awards)
Another ‘Queer’ star whose style shone during the 2025 awards season was Drew Starkey in an understated yet elevated Valentino fit at the SAG Awards. Proving that you don’t need to go custom to dress to the nines, Starkey’s home-run look was lifted straight from Alessandro Michele’s spring 2025 Valentino collection! Combining a plethora of colours wonderfully, his look was made up of a navy double-breasted wool blazer, off-white wool pants with thick cuffs, and a red polka-dot silk bandeau against a light blue shirt. Alongside with his freshly debuted buzzcut, Starkey accessorised with a Les Berlingots de Cartier ring, gold earring, and an enviable Cartier Tortue watch.

Tyler James Williams In Dolce & Gabbana (Golden Globes)
Known for his consistently sophisticated red carpet style, ‘Abbott Elementary’ star Tyler James Williams brought it once again to the 2025 Golden Globe Awards. In a fitted grey Dolce & Gabbana suit with extended shoulders – sans a shirt underneath – Williams crafted a sharp silhouette that complemented his proportions effortlessly. To accent his more muted look, Williams wore several Anita Ko jewellery pieces.

Andrew Garfield In Gucci (Oscars)
Leaving the Spider-Man suit behind for a brown Gucci look at the Oscars, Andrew Garfield played with colours gorgeously throughout the 2025 awards season. Far from resembling a flat cup of espresso, he embraced several marvellous shades of brown from head-to-toe (including his hair!) in a chocolate single-breasted suit paired with matching trousers and a silk shirt. He completed the look with a tanned brown-banded Jaeger-LeCoultre Reverso Tribute Duoface Calendar timepiece, David Yurman jewellery, and chic black sunglasses with amber-brown lenses.

Ayo Edebiri In Loewe (Golden Globes)
Sometimes, the ladies do menswear better – and Ayo Edebiri’s slouchy Loewe suit at the 2025 Golden Globes is proof. A sartorial spitting image of a suited Julia Roberts at the 1990 Globes, Edebiri’s grey wool ensemble with draped trousers was easily one of the best menswear moments of this awards season. Though custom-designed by Loewe, the fit drew inspiration from the brand’s Spring 2025 runway and featured a 14K gold-dipped pheasant feather tie that popped beautifully against the monochromatic attire. Nominated for her role as Chef Sydney in ‘The Bear,’ Edebiri made a compelling case for why more women should start playing around with menswear.
