No Way Home, Nowhere To Run: The Spider-Verse Saga Sets A Date For Miles’ Final Showdown

It’s official – the epic finale to Miles Morales’ Spider-Verse saga finally has a release date. After months of radio silence, Sony came through with a long-awaited update at CinemaCon 2025. ‘Spider-Man: Beyond The Spider-Verse’ is set to hit cinemas on 4 June, 2027.

The news sent fans into a frenzy – and for good reason. After experiencing several delays, the release of the final chapter raises the stakes and answers all the questions left hanging from ‘Across The Spider-Verse.’ Here’s what we know about the multiverse-shattering sequel (so far).

Where Is Miles?

Fair question. ‘Across The Spider-Verse’ didn’t just end on a painful cliffhanger – it knocked us off it too. In a last-ditch escape attempt from the Spider-Society headquarters, Miles jumps into the interdimensional teleporter, desperate to return home after the mess that had gone down. The problem? That pesky radioactive spider that bit him wasn’t from his own universe – instead pulling him straight into Earth-42.

With the destination determined by spider DNA, the teleporter takes Miles to the wrong dimension – a darker, grittier version of his world where there’s no Spider-Man at all. And in a gut-punching reveal, he finds that Earth-42 Miles isn’t just living a different life. He’s the Prowler.

Meanwhile, across the multiverse, Miles’ name is skyrocketing up multiversal most-wanted lists at lightspeed. The Spot – once written off as a bumbling, ink-blotted nuisance – has morphed into a genuinely terrifying threat. Fueled by vengeance and a thirst for recognition, he blames Miles for his transformation and is now wielding his portal-popping powers to tear through entire realities. Add on Miguel O’Hara’s relentless pursuit to “protect the canon,” and Miles isn’t just fighting for his life – he’s fighting for his place within the multiverse.

What’s Next?

Fireworks. The trilogy’s signature animation – equal parts kaleidoscopic chaos and visual poetry – is back, and this time, the emotional stakes are sky-high. Shameik Moore returns as Miles Morales, facing off against his Earth-42 counterpart, voiced by the brilliant Jharrel Jerome. But where does Gwen Stacy fit into his story?

Can Miles ultimately outrun the canonic tragedy that plagues all those who have been marked by that radioactive spider bite? The final showdown is shaping up to be an all-out battle for identity, agency, and the soul of the Spider-Verse itself.
